Jolly Holla Sunrise Dec. 3, 2006

The sun rises over the camp after the great doe massacre of 06. The day before 3 does's were taken on a single drive on the lake property. The deer god's smile upon me as I wake in the morning. A perfect way to end the week with my hunting companions.

Scott's doe Nov. 29, 2006

Here is a doe I shot mid week on the 143. During my week at deer camp I saw several bucks, but none were shooters. This doe was taken during a drive on the 143. There was a slight rain all day so sitting in a stand was hard unless you had an umbrella. I guess Glen left his in the car.

Mike & Mike Hunter's Hand Shake, Nov. 28th, 2006

Two hunters shake hands after a sucessful day of being in the woods. Both of these deer's were shot around the same time, but on different parts of the property.

Mike Mc 10 track, Nov. 28th, 2006

Mike Mc hunted the bottom area of the white place across from the pines all day. In the evening around 4pm he spotted this 10pt hanging out with the does that seem to frequent this spot in the field. Mike Mc was able to watch this deer for a good 4-5 min or so. He was waiting for a shot thru some brush. After waiting as long as he could he took the best shot he could. Knowing that he hit the deer, but unsure of how well because of the limited amount of blood he could track. Mike Mc took several hours to track the deer down in the dark thru field, brush and woods. The deer was found only a couple of hundred yards away. This was a great hunt and a great tracking job!

Mike S Nice 8pt, Nov. 28, 2006

Mike S shot this nice looking 8 point on Tuesday evening on the 143. The deer was moving across the 143 from the mud hole down the tractor path and across the field. Mike S cracked off about an 80 yard shot to hit this deer. The deer traveled a short distance into the woods and dropped. Mike didn't seem too impressed with this at first, but I think it really grew on him. I really think this is a great 8!

Cam's 1st deer Nov. 28, 2006

The weather for the gun week in 2006 was very mild. Temps in the mid 40s and 50s and it may have reached low 60's at times. Wind was mostly out of the South and Southwest.
Cam shot this 5 point in the early morning hours on the 28th. Cam sat with his dad Glen in a double stand up on the white place. A couple of does were spotted as well with this buck coming up out of the woods to cross the power line. Cam got off a nice shot to drop this buck.
Cam and Glen are seen in this picture all goofy eyed. I think Can is embarrassed to be seen with his dad.
